The Queen City Fair is coming to the Lauderdale County Agri-Center October 1-7 for its 12th year of "Family Fun Tradition." In addition to talent showcases, concerts, performances, exhibits, and food from around the world, the focus of the fair is its Midway Carnival Rides. "Super Spectaculars" in this year's line up include The Zipper, The Himalaya, Giant Wheel, Pharaoh's Fury, Bumper Cars, The Sizzler, and many more. The Midway features the newest line up of rides for younger thrill seekers as well.

This year the Queen City Fair will feature "Robinson's Racing Pigs" and "Hillbilly Bob" and unique entertaining shows for the entire family. In addition, other popular events will include the Petting Zoo, "Queen City Cup" FIFA Soccer shootout, Meridian's Most Talented competition, Little Miss Queen City Fair Pageant, and Youth Nite Concerts. Area organizations and groups will showcase throughout the week. Local businesses, non-profit organizations and 4-H are all participants in the weeklong event.
